GROWTH
The Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), in partnership with the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), has taken another bold step to empower youth and women-led agribusinesses under the Expanding, Mentoring and Coaching to build capacity and expand access to Technical and Financial resources for disadvantaged youth in agriculture in Ghana Project. This project forms part of the Youth Entrepreneurship for the Future of Food and Agriculture (YEFFA) Program, a partnership between AGRA and the Mastercard Foundation.
The Project continues to bridge the gap between innovation and opportunity. Through the project, KIC and AGRA are committed to strengthening Ghana’s agricultural value chains through capacity building, mentorship, market linkages, and access to finance for young people in hard-to reach or disadvantaged communities. By targeting both youth and women-led enterprises, the project ensures inclusivity, while promoting sustainable food systems and addressing unemployment in rural and peri-urban areas. The program targets young people and women in the following value chains: Rice, Soyabeans, Maize or Horticulture value chains.
The program is being implemented for participants in the following areas:
• Northern Region: Yendi, Tamale
• Northeast Region: Walewale
• Upper West Region: Wa, Jirapa
• Upper East Region: Bolgatanga, Navrongo
• Savanna Region: Damongo
